How to care
for your taper candles
Fire is sacred and needs to be tended in a responsible way.
Never leave a candle unattended.
Always keep candle within sight.
Keep away from pets and children.
Do not burn your candles on or near anything flammable.
Tapers must be properly secured in a candleholder. To do this, melt the bottom of the candle over the holder so wax drips into the holder. Then place the bottom of candle in melted wax and hold until it is secured.
If a candle is too small for holder, it can be melted into place. If it is too big, you can melt bottom and use a butterknife pointed away from you to carve off wax so it fits into holder.
For a dripless candle, burn on an even surface indoors away from drafts such as open windows, fans or doorways.
To remove wax from a candleholder, wait for it to dry completely. Then put it into the freezer for a few hours or overnight. The wax will be easily removable when frozen. Use care with glass and ceramic candleholders.
Make sure no debris is left in wax pool as this will hinder the candle from burning properly.
